Simonton window balance

Question

These have a width of about 7/8 and maybe 1 1/4 square. Closest I can see in your line up is the Certainteed model. I couldnt find any printed markings on this piece or the windows which I installed in 2010.

Hey there. This is actually a Simonton Coil balance system that is no longer made. While it looks similar to the Certainteed parts like the 15-192 shoe, we have found the Certainteed shoe does not fit properly.

Because of this, we've devised a substitute solution. You can use the 15-259 Pivot Shoe and Series 159 Coil Balance springs instead. The video below shows how. Let us know if you have questions.
