Need help getting a matching part for the other side so that window doesn't slam down right away.

Hello there. You're showing us a pivot bar, which slides into a metal block in the window track called a pivot shoe. The pivot shoe is then connected to some sort of spring or coil-assembly called a balance, which regulates the opening and closing of the window. There's many different combinations of parts this pivot bar might work with, so the best thing to do is to show us pictures of your existing hardware, preferably removed from the window. We'll do our best to start to narrow down what you might need from there.

Thanks for responding. Your old pivot shoe is a type no longer available, but our 15-177 is of a similar design and should be able to replace it. Both your old shoe and the 15-177 connect to Coil Balances, spring mechanisms further up the window that regulate its opening and closing--specifically our Series 152 Coil Balances. If any of these coils are torn you will need to replace them; otherwise the window will not raise and close properly. Otherwise, replacing the shoe is what you need to do. Let me know if you have further questions
