The metal hook recepticle which is screwed into the door frame is being compromised from continued slamming against it. We have to constantly pull it out with a flat head screwdriver to ensure the door lock will still slide under and latch to it with ease. We probably should replace the entire handle and recepticle but not sure where to start. We prefer to have to screw anything into the glass door, rather replace the recepticle on the side of the frame that is attached to the wall and then unscrew and up with a new handle as well.
Can't find a brand anywhere but on the glass we can see etched in the top corner "Guarding Glass". Not sure that helps much....The home was built in the mid-late 90s and updated about 5+ years ago so this could very well be part of the original or the update. Likely original...

Hello,
Your assembly reminds me of our 82-005 surface-mounted handle set, which comes with its own keeper. Take a look and see how the dimensions shown on our product page compare to your original hardware. Thanks for posting!

This looks great, I want to order- but does it come with the receiving piece as well that attaches to the wall where the sliding door would secure?

Yes, the 82-005 comes with a keeper and adapter plate depending on if the keeper needs to be installed on the face of the door jamb or inside it.
