Sliding Door Handle latch problem

In April this year I purchased a sliding door handle set , part number 82033.
Has worked fine until a couple of days ago.
Problem now is when you lift the latch to unlock the door, that latch piece will retract into the door, but when you shut the door and try to latch it, the piece that holds the door shut does not pop out of the door section. You have to use your fingernail to get it to come out of the door section.
Is there anything I can do to try to correct this problem that you may be aware of?

This looks as if it may be the part that I need.
I just want to douible check the measurements and if they are the right size I will order the assembly.
