The original latch on a 1957 mid-century home sliding door does not work, located in Venice, Florida near the beach. The latch sticks on the face plare as it moves forward and should be proud of the face plate when it is in is relaxed position.

Hello,
Unforutnately, we do not carry the hardware shown in your photos. The 82-005 surface-mounted handle set would be our best option, but we can't guarantee it would work, and adaptations would be necessary. Note that you would need to make new installation holes to accommodate the 4-15/16" hole spacing, as well as mount one of the keepers it comes with to the door jamb. See the installation video to determine if this could work for your application. Thanks for posting!
