I measured:

11 inches on door portion with claws from top screw to bottom screw
3 inches for middle screws
7 1/2 for claws or fingers that come out
4 inches for the screws on the inside of house side

Thanks for reaching out! Your handle set appears to be similar to the Legacy Keyed Handle Set, part 82-087. To determine if this is the correct replacement, carefully review and compare the measurements shown on the diagram below.

The internal mortise lock looks like it could be part 82-265. Look over the dimensions to determine if this will be the right fit. Keep in mind this part is only made in the brass color shown in the photo below.

If you are concerned about the color, there is a chance that you could use the plate from your existing mortise lock but part 82-265 has an anti-slam button, so that could deter you from being able to change the plates. Also, the anti-slam button prevents the double look hooks from being damaged by accidentally closing the door with them extended.

Everything checks out. Should this fit into my current receiver on the wall or do I need a new piece there?

The part you are referring to as the receiver is what is known as the keeper. It does appear that your existing keeper is compatible with our mortise lock.

If you did want to consider replacing it along with the other hardware, the compatible keeper we carry is part 82-249.
