Sliding Patio Door Lock

Home Owner from Springfield, VA
I have a sliding door patio lock that no longer works. The door's still in great condition, but the bottom part of the lock goes from unlocked to locked randomly. I'm not 100% sure what the door model or brand is, but I think it's an Andersen. The attached photos are for the piece I'm trying to replace. I did a quick search on your website and it looked like 82-265 was close, but not exactly the same piece.

Hello,

Thanks for posting! I agree that your mortise lock looks similar to a few that we carry but there are certainly some differences that could be a cause for concern. I'm going to elevate your request to our sliding door expert to review and determine what your best replacement option would be. He will contact you directly as soon as more information is available.

Hello and thank you for your continued patience with us. I am afraid I wasn't able to locate your exact mortise lock. And I see you mentioned that the 82-265 was pretty close. Do you think if you used the 82-265 with the 82-249, you can somehow retrofit it on your door to make it work? We also offer the 82-239 mortise lock. Have a look. You may be able to use this with your existing face plate. Look over all the parts I mentioned and let us know your thoughts.

The measurements are pretty similar. Do you think I'll be able to use the existing handle or do I need to buy that as well as the locking lever as well? I might as well buy the entire assembly.

We'd be happy to check for you. May we see a photo of the handle set? If we could also have you include the screw hole measurement of the part, that would be helpful.
