Sliding door handle

A home owner from Tucson, AZ says:
Looking for a replacement handle for this sliding door that I believe is original to the house (1954). Top of the handle says bellevue. I took it off once to repair it, but getting it back together was nearly impossible because all of the threads on the connecting screws are stripped.

This is a very, very old handle set. You very likely won't find a good match anymore. With that in mind, I would recommend a new surface-mount set like our 82-005. This is nice because it doesn't interact with any mechanism in the door itself. The only catch is that you likely have to drill new holes for it to install. The guide below will go into more detail.
