Sliding door lock stuck

Quick Learner from Los Angeles
Hello - see photos for sliding door lock. It is very difficult to lock it all the way as I need to apply does of downward pressure on the lock lever to lock it closed. Need help identifying which handle this is and videos how to adjust it on my own.

Hello there. This handle set looks like an older version of our 82-030. However I suspect the handle set isn't an issue, but rather the mortise lock in the door is the cause. To test this, remove the handle set from the door and try manually 'throwing' the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If the mortise lock doesn't budge or only does so with force, then you know that's what needs to be replaced. The lock is our 82-218. The video below shows how to install and replace this lock. For information on the handle set, see this blog post here

The sliding doors shown in these videos are very loud and clunky when opening and closing. Any idea how to reduce the sound when sliding open/close??

The easiest way to reduce noise in a patio door is to clean and lubricate both the rollers and tracks. While you're at it, you should also check both components to see if there's any signs of obvious damage. No matter how well you lubricate the hardware, if it's broken then it's still going to cause you problems. Replacement may be necessary.
