Sliding door lock stuck
Hello there. This handle set looks like an older version of our 82-030. However I suspect the handle set isn't an issue, but rather the mortise lock in the door is the cause. To test this, remove the handle set from the door and try manually 'throwing' the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If the mortise lock doesn't budge or only does so with force, then you know that's what needs to be replaced. The lock is our 82-218. The video below shows how to install and replace this lock. For information on the handle set, see this blog post here.
The easiest way to reduce noise in a patio door is to clean and lubricate both the rollers and tracks. While you're at it, you should also check both components to see if there's any signs of obvious damage. No matter how well you lubricate the hardware, if it's broken then it's still going to cause you problems. Replacement may be necessary.
