Bought house 4 years ago. Both sliding doors have this handle and lock. The family room one does not connect anymore and does not lock. We tried moving the stick plate, but it does not "connect". Do you have replacement parts? It is 12" in length. And the screw holes are 1". Can we just replace the mechanism and leave the handle? Any help would be appreciated.

Let me ask you a question first. When you say that the door doesn't lock anymore, do the hooks still come out when you turn the lever? If so, then it's probably functioning normally and may just need to be adjusted. You can turn that little screw on the face to help it stick out further or retract deeper into the door. You may also want to try adjusting the wheels to make sure the door itself is at the proper height. Let me know if this helps.
If you just want to cut to the chase and buy a new mortise lock, see our 82-260. I think this is a match for what you have.
