Sliding patio door locking lever spins freely- won't lock

Handy Person from Falls Church, VA

Here are some pics from a sliding patio door at Yorktowne Square Condominiums in Falls Church, VA This is original equipment, circa 1969. Handle is ok on the inside but the locking lever just spins freely. The lock mechanism is on the inside of the frame with limited access. It appears that whatever engages the locking lever has slipped down so the lever can not catch/reach it. Any suggestions?

Handle measures 5-1/8" ctc

Lock mechanism screw spacing is 3-1/4 ctc

Need advise on how to repair and parts required?

Thanks

Lou

Hi Lou. This handle set looks similar to our 82-013, but the hole spacing with this handle set is 3". I am afraid we don't have a handle set with 3-1/4" hole spacing. You may need to consider converting to a surface mount handle set like our 82-005. Keep in mind you'd need to drill new holes to install this handle set. I apologize we have nothing closer, and best of luck in your repairs.
