Spiral balance for mobile home

Home Owner from Maryland
My balance is round and 26". Has markings LVB1. The window is 27"wide 50" height. It seems to have lost it's tension and the window won't stay up.

Thanks for posting!

These appear to be either Series 900 (3/8" tube diameter) or the Series 600 (5/8" tube diameter; can sometimes show as 9/16"). To confirm which you have, you'll need to be sure to confirm the diameter of your balance.

Also, since your balance does not have a colored tip, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of your sash. Once you've confirmed the weight of the window you'll be able to use the chart under the product description to confirm the tip color you'll need.

My window weighs 10 lbs. It looks like 5/8 to me. I added another picture si you could see the top and how it connects to window.

Thanks for confirming. Based on your measurements, you'll need our S600-26 spiral balances. Given you have a 10lb window, you'll need to select the red tip.

Ok, I've got that ordered, thanx for all your help. But one more question...when I get this, will it already be ready to hang, or will I need to adjust it??

Yes, you will need to charge these spiral balances before installation.

The procedure is to use our 75-006 tilt window, charging tool to give it 3-4 clockwise turns, then install. If it still feels weak, give it another 1-2 turns but no more than that.

You don't want to overcharge the spiral balance causing it to be tight in the window or to break.
