Spiral balance with bracket

Question

This photo is a spiral balance 29 inches long by 1/2 wide with a bottom bracket that measures 1-3/4 inch by 3/8 inch.

Would a replacement of a series 400 balancer with a bracket #14 work as a replacement? If not, could you recommend one.

Your window balance system is no longer made, but we have a good replacement option we like to use. I recommend our S500-29 with a red tip, as well as our 17-012 bracket. I would just recheck your window to see if a 5/8" diameter tube will fit behind the sash.
