Spring loaded guide for Kinco windows

Quick Learner
I have Kinco windows in my house and I need to know if you have the spring loaded guides that are on each side of the window. The part is 31 inches overall measuring the white plastic tabs and the metal measures 30 inches. The window measurements are 46 wide and 31 inches tall. I know Kinco is no longer in business but hopefully you can help!

Thank you for posting in our Discussion Board, Greg. This is what is known as a Channel Balance. I'd be more than happy to help you identify a replacement, but first I'll have to figure out what your bottom shoe is.

Please look at the measurements for our 15-001 and 15-002 bottom shoes and note their depths. As you can see, they are 1-1/8" deep and 1" deep, respectively. Which measurement more closely resembles your own shoe?

Please also tell me the length of the metal channel. Do not include the plastic attachments in this measurement.

Finally, please let me know if there is anything stamped or printed on the metal channel itself.

Tom,
The bottom shoe on the the channel balances mesures 1 inch in height ane 1 inch wide. Looks somewhat like the 15-002 shoe but the one on the Kinco also has what looks like a plastic screw rod adjustment? I have attached another view so you can see it from that angle. The metal rod in 30 inches in length.
Hope you can help!

Thanks for getting back to us, Greg. That should be okay; I believe that our balances will still replace yours. Now, since your top attachment has wings, while your bottom attachment does not, your balance will have to be custom made. That combination does not match any of our existing Series. Before we begin with that, though, I just need to know whats stamped on your metal channel. Let me know!

Tom,
No markings on the rods.

Oh, I see. In that case, can you give me the weight of your window sash? You can determine this by removing the sash from the window and placing it on a scale. This will help us find the appropriate option for you.

Thanks for getting back to us, Greg. Are those bumps on the metal channel? If so, I don't think they're of any consequence. It's probably just the style of the channel.

Thank you for the weight. That should be the last thing that I need. With that said, I'll go ahead and email you a custom order link that you can use to place an order on our website.

Tom,
The window sash weighs approximately 33 pounds. After looking closer at the balance rod I noticed 8 bumps, 4 on each side on the top of the rod? Don't know if they mean anything?
