Hello, thank you for posting,

To further review, are you able to show us pictures of the pivot shoe that the coil springs attach to and the pivot bar at the bottom of the window sash that engages with the shoe? Do you know the brand/manufacturer of the window?

From there we can confirm the best fit for your window. Thank you!

Thank you for the additional information!

You have an older Simonton balance that is no longer made, but we recommend converting the 15-259 pivot shoe and Series 159 coil springs along with the 26-083 pivot bar. Please review the step by step video below that details the conversion and additional parts needed.

Let us know if you have any additional questions!

Thanks, this is super helpful!
I don't see the weight stamped on the old spring. Is there another way to determine the weight (by window size or by weighing the window)?

Thanks again

If there are no markings, you will need to weigh the window sash on a bathroom scale. From there divide the weight by the number of coil springs in the window to determine the correct weighted option for each spring.

If you need assistance, please provide the weight of the sash and I can confirm the best combination of coils. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
