sash window coil balances

Question

I have two sash window windows with broken coil springs.

window 1 - weighs 37.5lb and I attach photos of the mechanism. On each side there are 3 coils, 2 x 9lb and 1 x 4lb, a total of 22lb. A grand total of 44lb. Confusingly on the pivot show it says 21 and actual weight is 37.5lb.

Window 2 - weighs 23lb and has 2 coils. I have not looked at the coils to see what is stamped on them, but I guess I will need 4 x 6lb coils.

Are any of your replacement coils suitable ?

Unfortunately, we do not carry an exact match for your pivot shoe, however, there is a chance that the 17/32" thick 15-199 could work as a replacement for you. Compare the dimensions to your existing shoe to determine if this is the right fit.

Also, note that this shoe is compatible with either the 1/2" thick S160 or the 3/8" thick S165 coil spring. To determine which series you need, you'll need to confirm the thickness of your coil spring. Once we confirm the coil series that you need, we'll be happy to recommend the strength options needed to support your sashes.
