T-lock shoes

A home owner from Chesapeake, Virginia says:
1) what is the difference between 15-195 and 15-195B?
2) what is the difference between open and close cam?15-229 vs 15-195

I believe I need the one of these three t-lock shoes. I have Ply Gem windows made in 2017. Can you help me figure out what to get? Also are your parts any more durable than that the ones that came with the windows or basically the same?

Looks like to me you need the 15-195. The 15-195B has a metal cam that is 'open', meaning it has no back wall so you can see through it to the other side. Yours is closed. The 15-229 has a 'black puck' in the back that makes it slightly thicker. This appears to be the standard 15-195 to me.

There is a problem, however. Your old shoes have a characteristic groove in the stem, meant to interface with a similar indentation in the body of the channel balance it connects to. Both our shoes and balances lack this groove. This means you'd need an all new channel balance I'm afraid. Fortunately, we know this is a Series 795, and this balances comes with the 15-195 attached by default. Let me know if you have further questions.

A home owner from Chesapeake, Virginia says:
Sir,
I don't know for sure, but maybe when they installed my windows they mismatched parts. There doesn't seem to be a groove or ridge on the balance. Am I missing something? Or did my builder use the wrong parts? Here is maybe a better look at the balance where the shoe was when I found it. I just want to be sure, I would prefer to buy a bunch of shoes and replace them, rather than full on balances. Thank you for your help.

You know, that thought occurred to me in the first pictures of your channel, but I immediately focused on the configuration of your old T-Lock Shoe, which does have that groove. But your metal channels do not, so you're right--I think it's possible the 15-195 will work just fine here. It should fit snugly in the channel and around that rivet.

Ok, thank you, I appreciate your time and help.
