Tension on balance
Thanks for your post! I'm happy to identify a replacement for your window balances but I'll need to see a photo of the entire assembly removed from the window to identify the right replacement. I'll need to see the top and bottom attachments on the channel as well as any that could possibly be left behind in the window channel.
The stamp can only tell us the weight range the balance should be able to hold to support the weight of the sash.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Thanks for the additional photos. Your balance is the S795-28 but will need to be a custom assembly since it has a 15-198 Balance Clip Attachment on top.
This balance is typically assembled with the 15-195 1-1/4" T-Lock Balance Shoe with a closed cam but there is also the 15-195B 1-1/4" open cam shoe or the 15-194 1" Shoe. To determine which of these is the correct replacement, you'll need to confirm the width of the bottom T and take a look at the metal cam on the back.
I'll also need to know the exact number of balances you are looking to purchase. There is an order minimum of (2) balances for custom assemblies.
Thanks for confirming. I've forwarded a link to your email so that you may review the quote. You'll be able to use this link to place the order from your online cart.
The measurement you show is the thickness of the balance shoe, not the width. Once you've confirmed whether the width is 1" or 1-1/4" and if it has an opened vs closed cam, you'll be able to select your shoe from those tagged below. Please be sure to review the information I included regarding the shoes in my response above.
The fourth photo provided shows a shoe with a 1" width. You'll be able to double check the dimensions using the diagram provided on the product page for the 15-194 shoe.
This is only available in a closed cam option.
