I purchased a replacement from you based on the part # on my part and a question and answer guy that I thought was from Swisco.

Thanks for posting!. Your existing operator is no longer made any more. It looks like you've purchased the 39-171 Truth Hardware Dyad Operator. This replacement recommendation is the one we suggest to replace it since it has the offset arm. While it is a bit different in design, it should still work for your application.

Did you run into any issues when attempting to install it?

Just before the window closes, the "arm" mechanism is in the way, and the window hits it. The arm segment that hooks to the window is 9/16 longer on your new part. If you have no solution, I may swap that part only. There will be no going back because I will be destroying the rivet type fastener and making something up to replace. Oops I have rambled on...

Thanks for confirming! In the past, we've also recommended the 39-317 Truth Split-Arm Operator (its opposite version is the 39-318). Take a look over the dimensions and design to see if the could be a better replacement for your windows.
