The worm gear for our 1990 Weather Shield opeator has come out. Need replacement for this : SWISCO.com

I need a replacement operator for a Weather Shield awning window which was manufactured Dec 1990. The worm gear has come out and I cannot use the mechanism to close the window.

Hello,

We appreciate your contacting us! Since the worm gear has been stripped from your operator, you'll need to replace the entire mechanism. I'm happy to recommend a replacement for your hardware, but I'll need to see a photo of the entire operator to identify the correct replacement.

I am looking to see photos of the base of the operator as well as a photo of the arm(s) and how the operator attaches to the bottom of the swinging window sash.

Your awning window operator looks like it could be the 39-496 EntryGard Awning Operator. To confirm, you'll need to be sure to compare the dimensions below.

All of the compatible hardware has been tagged below. It is all sold separately from the operator.

I have remeasured after looking at the schematic of your recommended parts.
My Awning Operator Track is 26 3/4 length. I believe that the Awning Operator is 24 3/4 when fully extended.
Could you let me know what parts should be ordered based on these dimensions?
I am truly a novice at this, and appreciate your assistance!

Sure! Take a look at the 39-348 Operator. Carefully review and compare the dimensions to determine if this would be a fit for your repairs. The cover is built into the assembly and is available in either white or bronze.

The track can be replaced with the 36-078B. The other compatible hardware would be the same.
