Tilt Latch Replacement

Quick Learner from Southport, NC

I need to repair a Ply Gem "Pro Classic" series window and am trying to find the correct tilt latch for it. It appears that the Truth Tilt Latch 26-442 is the correct one, but I'd like to be sure. The existing latch measures 2 5/8 long, 11/16 wide and the bottom is 9/16.

I'm also replacing the channel balance and shoe. The existing channel is 9/16" wide and stamped with 32F. From a previous post I saw that the 795 series is what I need, and swap the 15-194 shoe to fit my window channel.

Is this correct?

Thank you

I don't think that's our 26-442. I'd like you to remove your latch from the window and show me photos of it by itself from a couple different angles. I'd especially like to see it from underneath, but seeing it from the side would also be a big help.

I also can't confirm if you have our Series 795. I'd have to see more of the balance in order to confirm.

Great, thank you... Here are more photos of the balance foot. I hope you can tell, if not I can take more photos.

n.b. There seems to be a limit of photos I can upload, so I will send the pics of the tilt latch next.

Thanks,,,

Thank you! These are a huge help. Starting with the balance, it looks like you need an all new Series 795. You'll also need to purchase our 15-194 separately; this is because the Series 795 comes with a 1-1/4" wide shoe by default, but yours looks smaller at 1" wide, which matches the 15-194. Refer to the video I associated with this thread to see how to swap the shoes out. It's very easy, they just pop on and off.

As for the tilt latch, I actually think our 26-243 and 26-244 can work for you. Review our dimensions and let me know if you agree.
