Tilt Latch Replacement

Quick Learner from OKLAHOMA CITY

Based on my search, I am not sure about the difference between # 26-419 and # 26-243. Please make your recommendations based on information I have provided.

Thanks for your excellent assistance, RC

Thanks for posting, and good work narrowing it down to these two tilt latches--I agree that they are your best bet. The difference between the 26-243 and 26-244 versus the 26-419 and 26-420 is the size of the 'locking tab' on the underside of the latch body. See the diagrams below. The 26-243 has a locking tab that is 3/16", whereas the 26-419 measures at 3/8". Assuming all other dimensions check out, whichever choice best matches your tilt latch is what you should go with. Let us know if you have any questions.

I ordered the wrong size part.
I ordered and received the tilt window latch 26-420 which is slightly too big to fit the window.
I believe I need part 26-244 which is slightly smaller.
Can you please confirm that this part is indeed smaller.
Thank you

It's not really smaller, no. I actually posted dimensions for both parts above that you can review above. They are identical aside from the position of the locking "tooth" underneath.

Can you tell me exactly how your part differs? In what aspect is it too big? Referring to those measurements I shared above, which one is different? Can you also tell me precisely how?
