Tilt Shoes

Quick Learner from Virginia
Hi,
I am trying to replace just the tilt shoes of my channel balance springs for my residential windows.
The channel balance spring is stamped with BSI 30B.

I tried looking the new part numbers up for the tilt shoes but the new ones are taller (p/n 62-50002), See pictures.

The house was made in 2008. And I have about 35 windows that need this repair.

Do you have another part number that I can try for an exact replacement?

P.S. the patent numbers on the tilt shoes are as follows:
6.679.000
4.610.108
0467.490

Thanks

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out. Your balance shoe appears to be our 15-195B 1-1/4" Open Cam T-Lock Pivot Shoe. This is compatible with our Series 795 Channel Balance.

Since yours is stamped with a  30B, you'll need the S795-30. If your channel balance has a hook on the top, you should be able to use our 26-200 balance screw plug. However, if the installation hole at the top of the window is not square in shape, this will need to be a custom assembly.

Hi,
Actually, I think mine looks closer to the 15-236 spring shoe that you offer since there is a step-down when looking at a profile view. This allows for the groove in the metal balance spring to fit, see pictures.

Do you offer the 15-236 but with an open cam?

Thanks

I'm sorry to say that we do not carry an open cam version of the 15-236. If you are only looking to replace the shoe, this shoe should still work for you. However, if you are looking to replace the entire channel, the 15-236 is not designed to work with our balances.

If you replace the entire balance, you'll need the 15-195B.
