Tilt Window Channel Balance

Home Owner from 75033
The Balance is 27 1/2 inches long including bottom slide. The Channel rod is 1/2 inch square. The Guide is 1 3/16 in wide. The window is 20Lb. I have several of these where water has rusted the bottom of the rod and it has broke. I need an entire replacement.

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. This looks like an old Caldwell balance. It's not made anymore, but I believe you can use our Series 795 balance as a substitute. This comes with a 15-195 T-Lock shoe, which is 1-1/4" wide, so as long as your pivot shoe's width is the same then it should fit in the track the same way.

You said the length was 27-1/2", including the pivot shoe. If so, we'd recommend our S795-27 balance which is 27" when only measuring the metal channel. Our length measurement does not take into account the size of the shoe. To be sure, can you give me the length of just your metal channel?

If your sash weight is 20 pounds, we recommend going with the 27C stamp option.

I'd also like to see a good photo of your old pivot bar along with detailed dimensions. If you have an undamaged version we can use as a reference, that would be ideal. It will be difficult to identify them if they're broken.
