Thanks for posting. This is a Simonton coil balance assembly that I am afraid is no longer made. However you should be able to replace it with our 15-259 Pivot Shoe and Series 159 Coil Balances. We have a video that takes you through this process. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions.

That would depend on how heavy the sash is. You need to pick the right Series 159 weight options to add up to cover the precise weight of the sash. If you can cover the weight with only one spring per side, then that's fine, but it's entirely possible you'll need two per side depending. If you haven't already, weighing that should be your next step.

As for the shoe, if you plan on using the new system then you absolutely need a new shoe. The Series 159 springs can't work with your old one.
