Tilted window balance part help

Quick Learner
I have 10 of these tilt windows in my home that all need new balances. As far as I can tell they are all identical, and I suspect they are from around 2003 or so.

The part that the bottom of the balance connects to, and that the bottom of the sash sits in doesn't seem to come out of the track. Is there some trick to removing this I'm missing?

How do I remove this part to replace it?

Can you help me find the correct replacement balance? Thanks,

This is an older style balance, but we can supply the components necessary to match it. Start by looking at our Series 795 channel balance. This has the same base configuration with one key difference: the bottom attachment is a "T" lock shoe, rather than an inverted link like yours.

With that in mind, I also recommend that you buy the 15-224 inverted link separately. These swap out quite easily so once you get them you can just pop it right on the new balance.

Lastly, if you can't reuse your old pivot shoe, we also sell the 15-216. However if the old pivot shoe is in working condition this won't be necessary. At that point it's up to you if you want an update or not.
