Top hung channel balance

Home Owner from California
The cable of the hook for my channel balance of a top hung window was broken. The balance was made by Caldwell Model 20 4 JP as shown on the picture.
It was for an old aluminum Milguard window may be 16-20 years old. It is still good.

Thanks for writing in! I am confident we can supply you with the replacement balances you need however, I'll need a few more details to confirm the right replacement.

To start, I'll need to see a photo of the top plastic attachment on the balance as well as a photo of the spring and pulley system in the very center of the channel.

It would also be a good idea to confirm the dimensions for the depth (front to back measurement) of the bottom shoe.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

The channel balance is 21" long (excluding the pastic).

Thanks for the photos! Your channel balances appear to be either the S380-21 with a 1" shoe or the S385-21 with a 1-3/32" shoe. To confirm which series you have, compare and confirm the measurement for the depth of your shoe.

You'll need to select the 2040 stamp option.

Do you have the exact part 20 4 JP ( metal piece = 21" long) made by Caldwell as shown on the picture

The recommendation given to you is a direct replacement for the balances you have. You'll need to confirm the depth measurement of the shoe to determine exactly which series you need.

We do not sell the channel balances without the attachments on them.

I hope this helps!
