I need to replace the latch mechanism and I need to verify the correct replacement part

It's tough to make out your mortise while it's still installed, but I think you may want something like our 82-268B. Look it over and see what you think. If it would be possible to see the original out of the door, I can confirm that this is correct, but right now it's mostly just an educated guess.

Ok I recieved the latch mechanism and went to install it but it is to wide...I took pictures of mechanism out of door to get a picture....can you identify which mechanism it is and can I send back the first 1 to exchange?

Sorry to hear it didn't work. I'm afraid that we don't have another version of the 82-268B. When you say ours is too wide, can you confirm the exact size of your original for comparison? I'm not sure if we can find it, since I've never seen a skinnier version before, but I can try my best to track it down.

I'm afraid not. I need the exact size of your mortise in order to begin our search. So far, the 32-268B is the only size I'm able to locate. In order to make further inquiries I need precise measurements.
