Truth Casement window crank mechanism and armature

Home Owner from Maryland
Hi - Looking to repair a broken window operator. Existing hardware is Entry Gard Truth brand. Gearing looks similar, but not identical to, your part number 39-036. Please let me know if that is the correct replacement part to order. I will also need a cover and crank handle to go along with new mechanism. Thanks.

Hello there. Since this is a dual-arm operator, I believe this looks more like the 39-032. Compare with the diagram below, and let me know if anything seems off. The opposite-handed version of this operator is the 39-031. For new covers and handles that work with this type of mechanism, see the 39-114L and 39-107 sold separately.

I have a truth entrygard RH dual operator like the 39-032 above. I bought a replacement from a hardward store, but the roller on the end of the long arm is too thick to fit in the existing guide channel on my window. And it is thicker than the one on the original operator I took off. Any thoughts? Do you have a close up of the roller on the end of the long arm of 39-032

I need a replacement operator for the one I have. However, the roller on the long arm that rides in the guide channel is only about 1/16" thick. The replacement I have has a nylon roller that is about 1/8' thick, and it will not fit in the channel. Is there an operator with the thinner roller, or a channel with a deeper guide.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. Before we go any further, may I ask if the wheel on your original operator metal? If so, then it sounds like you might have a certain alternate version of the 39-032 that was made with a skinny, stainless steel wheel. This was designed to fit into a flat track that installed underneath the sash, as opposed to a more raised track that installed on the face of the sash (see our 39-505 for an example of what I mean).

The bad news is that we unfortunately don't sell a version of this operator with that skinny wheel. The only version we can offer is the one with the thicker nylon wheel. It may still work for you, but you would need to mount a track like the 39-505 to the face of the sash. That will require drilling new holes, and even then it's not a guarantee that our part will work. It may take some creative adaptation on your part.
