This is Truth hardware for Marvin casement window. As shown in the pic, I need the cog that goes in the opening and then the crank handle fits on that.

I'm told the splines are not sold separately and that I need a whole new "operator"? Can you tell me what I should buy to replace this one? Thank you, Pam

Hi, Pam.
You're correct. It looks like your worm gear came out with your handle. That part can't be repaired or replaced so you'll need a new operator, as you mentioned. We can help but I'll need to see a picture of your operator with the window open so that the arms that move the sash are fully visible.

OK, just to confirm, I'm going to order 39-031. Is this the correct direction and size based on the photo?

Yes, based on the photo in your initial post, the 39-031 appears to match what you have now since the gears are on the left side.
