Trying to get the correct 29" channel balance

I know I have a 1/2" x 29" shaft; however, I'm unclear on the top and bottom pieces. I've attached some photos. Let me know if there's extra information you need.
Cheers,
-Tommy.

Thanks for posting, Tommy! The first question I have is, do your top attachments have wings? That is, the black attachment in the right-hand image. I will also need to know the dimensions of your bottom attachment. Please refer to the chart below for the measurements I will need.
Lastly, are there any numbers stamped or printed on the metal channel? If not, we will need to know the weight of your sash. ![]() |

Thanks for the prompt response.
My top attachment doesn't have wings; however, the measurement appears to be 5/8".
I've added two more photos of another top attachment. (Exact same style, just not broken)

Thank you for the information. Do you also have the width of the bottom shoe, as compared to the chart above? Is it 1" wide, or 1-1/8" wide? Also, does your channel have any markings or stamps?

I just noticed that the pictures didn't take. Adding those plus 2 more of the bottom shoe.
The bottom shoe appears to be just over 5/8".
I do see a stamp which says: 2830 (then it looks like DSI vertically) 0. So, if it was all horizontal, it would look like: 2930DSI0. (Unfortunately, I'm not able to get a clear picture of it)

I just compared the two rods I was using as reference and noticed that they have the same top shoe, but different bottom shoes.
One has a 5/8" shoe, and the other has a shoe which is just shy of 1 1/4", neither of which have wings.

Unfortunately, we do not have any shoes that measure 5/8" or 1-1/4". Judging by the style of your bottom shoe, it seems like it would be either our 15-002 or 15-001. Just by eye-balling it, it appears to be closer to our 15-002. If at all possible, please re-measure your bottom shoe. Keep in mind, we need this measurement:

Sorry for the delayed response, as I got sidetracked.
I have two different sized bottom boots for two different balances. I listed them separately.
The first one measures 5/8" to 3/4"
The second one measures 1-1/8"
Do these help?

So the order came in and I was able to successfully replace one of the window balances, and it worked great!
One issue I've encountered is that the take-out clip is missing for some of my windows. Which part should I get? I saw you had a takeout clip, but it didn't look like the one I have. Does it matter?

I'm so glad that everything worked out well! We appreciate your patronage.
As for the take out clips, it's hard to determine without the actual hardware to see. However, if you show me a picture of the hole where the clip sits, I think I can work something out for you. |

Here's a picture of the hole with the missing take-out clip and one with a takeout clip still there.
Let me know if there's any other information you need.
Cheers,
-Tommy.

Thanks for the image. Please take a look at our 16-002. Do you think that would work? Make sure that the dimensions match up.

Paul,
I think that a 1/4" wide clip would work; however, I'm not sure about the height. I've included a photo at the bottom which shows that the space between the two holes is about 1 1/8", so I'm not sure if the 16-002 would fit since that's 1 1/4" inch from top to bottom.
The picture for the 16-002 appears to only fit a gap of ~3/4".

John, I just double checked our 16-002. I believe that it is the closest possible match for your application.
