Tube Balances

A quick learner from Georgia says:
I have some very old windows that were originally rope weight and then converted to spring twist spiral balances. I have about 10 windows that I would like to convert to tube and need some assistance in what to use. The following are dimensions.

Current balance "tube" length: 19 1/4" , Dia. 1/2", window height 19 1/2", channel width 5/8+", channel depth 1/2".

I am going to try this on one window first to see if it works out. What I need is basically a kit or the list of components to do both sides of the window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Thanks for posting! Please take a look at our S500-19 spiral balance with a 17-012 bracket. Do you think these might work for you?

Please also take a look at our guide on how to adjust non-tilt window spiral balances.

I would like to try your suggestion but need to know every piece I need in order to make this work.

Will try a bathroom window first, if it works will do about 20 more windows.
Thanks, Bob
