Twist around spiral cylinder

per my discussion with your rep.
please note the windows are 40 x 30 inches. the openings which contain the balances extend down the sides of the window and are approximately 25 inches in length.
the balances themselves are cased in metal that twists around a spring cylinder. They are about 3/8 inch in circumference.
the window sash is made of wood and was built in the fifties. we have a number of these as they are double hung windows so need help.
looking forward to your response.

Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not carry exact replacements for your old-style balances but many of our past customers with older wood windows have been able to adapt the 3/8" diameter S400 spiral balance and 17-031 bracket to replace their original hardware.
Please note that many of these old wood windows use the S500 balance, which has a diameter of 5/8", with the 17-012 bracket.
You'll also need to weigh the widow sash and follow the chart under the balance product description to choose the correct tip color for your replacement balances. We also have a guide for these non-tilt spiral balances, which you can view here. Take a look and see what you think.
