Can Vent Latch #26-148 be installed on any window?

This vent latch is not for new application. This product is only for repairing existing vent latches of the same shape and size.

Can the 26-148 vent latch be installed into ANY brand vinyl window? Do you have an instruction booklet that I can see to make sure they will work with my windows before I buy?
