Vinyl tilt window balance

Question

Hi, I have recently come across with a vinyl window of about 25 years of with the balance shown in the picture. The total length is 28 inches. I need your help to find a similar balance. The balance channel is about 1 and 1/4 inch wide. I can also provide other measurements if necessary. Thanks

Thanks for reaching out. You have an old, discontinued cross-bow balance, which is no longer available. These can possibly be converted to our Series 795 Channel balance but there are a few pieces of information you'll need to confirm to determine if these will work.

To start, you'll need to find and remove an undamaged balance from a window so that you can get the accurate measurements from the balance. These include the length of an undamaged balance, the diameter of the balance channel/tube, as well as the width of the bottom T-shaped attachment. You will also need to obtain the exact weight of the window to select the correct stamp option.
