Vinyl tilt window up and down

A quick learner from Lubbock, texas says:
The tilt boot on the left side is broken. It appears the shoe and the spring balance are one unit I do not yet have jam spreaders to remove the unit so I see no markings.

See our 15-177 Pivot Shoe. This shoe uses Series 152 Coil Balances. See the video below that shows how to remove a different type of coil spring system from the window. Though the setup is a little different, the principles of forming a cutout in the jamb track may prove useful for you. Take a look and see what you think. Let us know if you have further questions.
