Vinyl window spring

Home Owner from USA

Hi-

I am trying to replace this broken window spring for a vinyl window. It is a single load, single hung window. The piece measure 24 inches from plastic tip to plastic tip. I don't know what the weight load is supposed to be. There is a number stamped on the back and is shown in one of the pictures. What item should I buy from you?

Thanks,

Ron

Hey, Ron. Thanks for contacting us. We can replace this balance, but it will have to be a special order. Before we begin, can you show me a picture of the metal hook at the end of the cord? That would be a huge help, thank you!

Here are more pictures as requested showing the metal clip at the end.

Thank you! That's exactly what we needed to see. I'll now email you an order link and price quote for 2, which is our minimum. If you wanted to change that quantity, please let me know right here in this thread and I'd be happy to do so.

You made the above window spring replacement for me. I got it and it seems to be working great.

I now have another one that needs replacing. This one is slightly different, so I don't think I can use the second spring you sent me.

This one measures about 23 3/4" from the tip of each plastic end. From metal to metal, it is about 23". One end of the spring has a bent piece of metal. That is what is broken and prevents me from reinstalling the spring.

The number 2230 BSI TM is stamped on the back.

Please sne d me a quote, so I can order a replacement.

Thanks.

Welcome back. We are glad to help you with your new balance. Take a look at our S390-23. This comes with a bottom balance shoe that measures 1-1/8" in depth. Look it over and see if this will work in place of your part. If so, then you can go with the 2230 option.
