Weather stripping

Quick Learner from Melrose, Wi

I purchased these crestline windows in October of 2011. They have been very reliable windows. It has a picture window in the center with a casement on each side of that. The problem is I believe the original weather stripping has decided to retire and has now begun to leak when we have a driving rain from the north. So far it is only the window on the east that is leaking but I do anticipate it will soon join the other window. Is the style of weather strip (pic#2) and the feather style stripping (pic # 1) still available for these windows? If so how is it sold? In lengths or by the roll? Also is there any special tricks needed to remove the old and install the new?

Thanks, Darrel

I'm afraid I don't know what weatherstripping is used on your windows. We may still be able to help, but in these situations we need to use the physical specs of the original part as a reference.

In your case, you will need to remove an undamaged sample of both styles and show me a clear shot of the end profile. The videos below will clarify what we need and go over the process of removal. Precise, written dimensions will also be necessary.

In the meantime, you can see our full selection here.
