This is what is stamped on my window balance: 31-3 IK5 CMC 43.
Could you please let me know what the replacement is.

Hi, John. Based on your stamp of "31-3," I suspect that you need a 32" balance with a "3130" stamp option. To verify the length, measure the length of the metal channel alone, without including the plastic top or shoe. To verify the stamp option, remove your window sash and weigh it.
Once you have those numbers, you will need to identify which Series of balance you need. Use our channel balance ID guide to identify your series. If you have trouble, you can post photos of both ends of the balance for us to identify.
