What balance will replace this?

What balancer do you recommend? The only info is the patent number 5737877. The entire assembly is 22 1/4" long. The window weighs 14lbs. 6oz. The window moves up/down 20 3/4".

Hello! You have an older style "crossbow" balance, which is obsolete and hasn't been made for a number of years now. The good news is that one of our modern channel balances can replace it. As long as the spring is 1/2" in diameter, then our Series 795 should work perfectly well, but it takes some handiwork. I'll share a video guide we have on the topic that will get you started.
