What kind of lock can I use for this sliding glass door

So This house was bought and the sliding door has this setup, but I noticed that it doesn't even have the inside of the door cut open or prepped for any lock to go inside. I need to put a lock on this door. What can I use, maybe something surface mounted?? Helppp please! Thank you.

I'm not quite sure what kind of hardware this door originally had, but yes--I think a surface-mount handle set like our 82-005 would be your best bet. Take a look and see what you think.

Thank you for your response, now me next question is if there is a surface mount but with a key lock on the outside?

See our 82-306 Keyed Outside Pull. You can use this in tandem with the 82-005.
