I have a Simonton Vinyl window that has a broken coil and pivot bar. It looks like the 15-205 is the right fit, but not sure how to remove the current one and how many coils are in the window coil balance I need to order. I can see the screw and then some latches that appear to lock the cover in place. Is it just pressure and prying out? The broken piece in the pivot shoe measures 3/8" width.

Yes, the cover should just be screwed on, but that's only part of the process. Take a look at our video below, which shows how to best replace a coil balance system. This should give you a better idea of what you need to do.

Unfortunately that is a simpler coil balance. The triple is more difficult especially in my window which only offers a 2" opening but triple coil support is 4.5" long.

I know it's difficult, but you have to first remove the broken cover, then work out the complete pivot shoe and all the coil springs attached. There isn't really any other way.
