Which weight coil spring do I need? Simonton window coil balance replacement

Thanks for posting, and nice job getting this far. To know what spring weights you need for the new Series 159 Coil Balances, weigh the window sash that these balances support. A bathroom scale will suffice. Give me that exact weight, and I can work it out for you.

Hi Bob! Thanks for getting back to me! So the one window is 15 pounds. We have another window that also needs both coil balances replaced (top and bottem) and that one is 15.6 pounds. Please let me know what is the proper Coil Balance to order. Thank you!

For both windows, you're fine just using a pair of the S159-07 7.5 pound springs, one for each side of the sash. This will equal the exact weight of the 15 pound window; for the 15.6 pound window, you'll be within one pound of the reported sash weight, which works just fine.
