Metal portion is 1/2" (9/16") wide and is 28" long. I think this is the 28" series 351 channel balance but the bottom shoe does not look the same as in your on-line catalog. Spring tension stamped on the metal is 27 3 Caldwell GM, which I believe is your 2730 option. Please verify this selection is correct or advise a better match. Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom. I think there's a chance this is actually a S390-28 instead of an S351-28, but it depends on the 'depth' of your bottom nylon shoe. The Series 351 bottom nylon shoe has a depth of 1", whereas the Series 390 bottom nylon shoe has a depth of 1-1/8". Compare with your old balances and see what you think matches best. You will need to select a stamp option of 2730. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hey Bob, I measured the bottom nylon shoe and it is in between 1" and 1.125"(1.09" - see attached image). Can you tell which shoe size from the image? It seems to be closer to 1.125" than 1" so I'm leaning towards the S390-28 with the 2730 spring. Does that seem correct?

Also, we need replacement take-out clips -- do those come in different sizes as well or all they all the same?

I agree, I think our Series 390 is what you want. It's very likely that your old shoe was once 1-1/8" deep and simply wore down over time.

Most take out clips are the same, but not always. There's a really good chance you have our 16-002, but you should double check just to be sure. It will either be this metal clip or it will be a big fat plastic clip. If your take out clip isn't big, fat, or plastic, then the 16-002 is a safe bet.
