Window Balance Channels - UNIQUE Brand. 25-E-50

A home owner from Calgary - Alberta - Canada. says:

Hello,

I have a window that slides up and has a broken balance channel, the other widows are stiff as well and "might" need replacement, but first I wanted to check that I have the correct replacement part.

I'm attaching pictures of the parts I took out, some pieces are broken. The metal channel is about 26" long, 9/16" wide and ½" deep. There is a stamp on it that says: UNIQUE 25-E-50.So could you help with all this please?

I'm thinking a complete balance is the way to go instead of riveting the plastic ends and threading the wire through etc? probably price wise It'll be similar or less when buying a complete assembly.

Let me know if you need anymore information please. I live in Canada and this is an older townhouse.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting. This looks like either a S380-26 or S385-26. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best.

You'll have to choose a stamp option. Your stamp code of 25-E-50 I believe might translate to our stamp option of 2560, which is for a window sash in the weight range of 28 through 30 lbs. But to be certain, I'd get the exact weight of your window sash to confirm this.
