Window Balance Replacement

A home owner from Southern California says:
I need help in identifying the right part to order. I need to replace 2 window balances. The length of my current one is 34 inches. the window weighs 23 pounds. It appears that the product that looks closest to what I already have is the 34" Series 380.

Thank you.

Thanks for posting! Before I can offer an applicable replacement for this channel balance, I just need to know a bit more information about the bottom attachment. Please take a look at our 15-004 and 15-005 channel balance shoes, and note their depths. As you can see, they are 1-3/32" deep and 1" deep, respectively. Which one more closely matches your own bottom attachment?
A home owner from Ca says:
I believe it is 1-3/32", but it's difficult to know for sure with my tape measure. Is that going to make a difference since I'm replacing both balances?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
It could potentially make a difference, yes. It could cause extra friction forn the window as it's being raised if the shoe is too big. Besides, it's always best to replace your hardware with what you had installed originally.

If you are certain that it's 1-3/32" deep, though, you would want to look at our Series 385 channel balance. I would double check the measurement just to make sure, though.
