Window Balance and Retainer Clip

Question

Hello,
I moved into a new house and one of my bedroom windows has a broken balance. It looks like the shoe is broken and it no longer rotates with the window and stays locked in the down position. I'm not sure how to find the appropriate replacement parts. Are you able to help? Also, the retainer clip that keeps the window from swinging out on one side is also broken. Do you know what part this could be? I don't see much in the way of identification except for these stickers at the top (see photos).

Thanks for writing in! I believe your shoe should be a match for the 15-177. The compatible coil balance spring is the Series 152 balance, which is attached to the shoe using the 33-072 screw. You'll need to look for a stamp/marking on the existing coil to determine the correct ones for your assemblies.

If there are none, please see the tutorial (tagged below) for instructions on selecting the coil weight option. We use a different assembly in the video but the process is the same.

The 15-143 Coil Bushing, 15-144 Coil Bushing Cap, and 15-145 Coil Support Barrel are used to create the coil support. You'll need all three pieces.

The tilt latch has a similar shape to the 26-243A and 26-244A but you'll need to compare the dimensions to be sure.
