Hello, thank you for posting,

We can assist with a replacement for your original balance, but to confirm the best option, are you able to show us the pivot bar on the bottom of the window sash that engages with the pivot shoe in the window channel? From there we can move forward with a possible replacement. Thank you!

Thank you for the additional pictures,

It appears you have an older Simonton balance system that is no longer made. We recommend converting to the 15-259 pivot shoe that is compatible with the Series 159 coil springs along with the 26-083 pivot bar. Please review the step by step video below that details the conversion and parts needed.

If you need assistance with choosing the correct weighted coil options, please provide the weight of the window sash to move forward. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

To confirm the weighted coils needed, I will need to know the weight of the window sash. The sash would need to be removed and placed on a bathroom scale. Thank you!

Hi Ollie,

For a 35 pound sash, you can use (2) S159-08 coils on each side of the window. These ratings will get you to 34 pounds of support. As long as the difference is within one pound, the sash should be supported!

Let us know if you have any additional questions.
