Window Balancer and Clip

Home Owner from Arizona

Hello,

Hopefully you can save the day! I'm told these are balancers. The picture shows the good one and the broken one. It measures 29" not including the plastic pieces on each end.

I'm also missing the metal clip at the top like the one shown in the 2nd picture.

Thanks for having this awesome tool to load up images!

Hello,

It looks like you have either our S351-29, with a 15-002 bottom attachment, or S390-29, with a 15-001 bottom attachment. Take a look at the image below to determine which balance you'll need. You'll also need to locate the stamp code on your metal channel to choose the corresponding spring strength option for your replacement balances.

As for your take-out clips, take a look at the 16-002 to see if the specifications below match up to yours. Thank you!

The correct balancer will be the S390-29 , with a 15-001 bottom attachment. The 16-002 clip should be fine. Unfortunately there isn't a stamp anywhere on the balancer. I even ditched the spring to see if it was inside the channel.

No problem, if there is no stamp code on the original balances, you'll need to weigh your window sash to determine which option you'll need. There is a chart on the product page that explains how to choose your option based on the sash weight.

Hi Casey,
Thanks for the prompt response. Our sash weighs 17.5 lbs. I believe the 2830 will be the correct option. After you confirm I'll call and place my order. Thanks again for the great service!

You are correct that the 2830 strength option for the S390-29 channel balances will support a sash between 16-23 lbs. Just let us know if you have any other questions and thanks for posting!
