Window Balancers

Question

We need two pieces for a large window that slides upwards. Current marking reads 25 4 LW CMC 7. One is missing a spring. These balancers are over 15 years old. We had ordered replacements but they came too long, so the plastic pieces on the top and the bottom don't fit into the available space in the window.

Alternately, is it possible to just get a new hook, spring for one of the balancers and we can use them again? See the photo labeled "Window Balancer Rolls and Hook"

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380-26 or S385-26 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. You'll also need 2540 spring strength options for your replacement balances.

We do not recommend trying to repair these balances since they are under constant tension and can cause further damage or result in injury.
